Jackie Geis has spent over two decades creating, building, and leading internationally-focused initiatives and coalitions. Her experience spans start-ups and large institutions; the UN, US Government, and private sectors; and the fields of justice, human rights, technology, and climate.

Most recently, she was the CEO of Videre est Credere, where she spent a decade building a nascent start-up into a multi-award-winning, highly-respected human rights documentation organization. She built partnerships with over 100 policy, media, legal, and advocacy actors and established Videre as a trusted player in the human rights ecosystem. As a result of these efforts, Videre was awarded the 2016 Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship.

A problem-solver and builder by nature, she is as adept at conceptualizing strategies and vision as she is at building teams and governance structures. She is a sought-after advisor on strategy and has advised NATO, the International Criminal Court, the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, and the International Committee for the Red Cross on human rights, technology, and security.  She has also advised dozens of NGOs on governance, fundraising, team-building, and operating in complex environments.  She has also managed and built boards and complex governance structures in multiple countries.

Having worked in government, the UN, think tanks, a technology start-up, and NGOs of various sizes, Jackie understands a range of operating models as well as their challenges and opportunities. She has forged new initiatives at a wide range of organizations: At the Brookings Institution, she developed a new workstream on transitional justice and displacement while managing a $20M portfolio of government and foundation relationships. At the US State Department, she fostered energy efficiency collaboration between local governments in the US and India. She worked with national and international officials to build out the War Crimes Chamber of the State Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina while at the UN. She has also built and overseen programs and offices in the US, Europe, Africa, and Asia.

Jackie holds a BA in international relations from Mount Holyoke College and a MPP from Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy. Originally from a small town in Maine, she now lives in London.
